Overground, underground, or subsea - how decisions are made on where electricity transmission lines go
This session looks at the considerations and challenges electricity transmission operator, SSEN Transmission, must consider when planning routes and type of technology used for new transmission infrastructure as we move vital renewable energy from where it is generated across the north of Scotland to where it’s needed across the UK. With input from leading experts from our own business, the National Energy System Operator (NESO) and academic fields, we aim to take a deeper dive into this topic with our stakeholders.
