This investment, enhancing production facilities at the Shields Road facility, will add to Siemens’ 550-strong workforce at the historic Parsons Works site.

Darren Davidson, Vice President, Siemens Energy UK&I said:

“Our expansion in Newcastle demonstrates Siemens Energy's commitment to strengthening the local supply chain and enhancing skill development in the region and across the UK.
This cutting-edge facility will significantly boost operational efficiency and production capacity, for the supply of protection and control panels on substation projects. There is significant demand for our panels and the potential in the UK market alone is vast, driven by the clean power mission's need to quadruple grid projects into the 2030s."
