Throughout the development and construction of the Shetland HVDC project, Shetland company Tulloch Developments was awarded a multi million-pound contract for civil and marine engineering.

SSEN Transmission engaged with local supply chains, creating opportunities for Shetland-based businesses, fostering economic growth and supporting the community.

After being awarded the contract on the project, Tulloch Developments delivered all cable installation civil works from the landfall site in Shetland to the Kergord switching station, including constructing haul roads, new access points, local road improvements, and managing cable transportation.
