Shin – Loch Buidhe 132kV Rebuild - Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) Event

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Transmission is holding a drop-in consultation exhibition on our proposals to install and retain a replacement 132kV overhead line between Shin Substation and Loch Buidhe Substation, including the construction of a new cable sealing end compound and dismantling of the existing overhead line between the existing Shin Substation and Loch Buidhe Substation, near Bonar Bridge.

This is the final event for the proposed alignment, design process, the planning process, environmental and engineering considerations and maps.

We aim to give stakeholders and community members a better visual representation of the work on the project to date.

Following our earlier statutory event for the proposed alignment in January, we are holding this final feedback event to share any further design refinements and our responses to feedback received throughout the pre-application consultation period.

During this drop-in event, we will share the latest project information about our proposals, and the project team will be available to discuss our proposals and answer any questions.

Stakeholder engagement is vital in shaping our proposals. To do this effectively, we need to capture consultation feedback and harness local knowledge to identify challenges.
