Our social media pages are intended to share information and news related to our business and to host discussions on topics relevant to our work. All statements and materials posted by contributors or employees of Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Transmission reflect the views of the individual and not necessarily those of SSEN.

We encourage open participation in our online community, but we ask that you treat SSEN and fellow users with respect at all times.

By using our pages, you agree to our house rules:

  • Name SSEN staff members without their consent.

  • Use our comment section/replies to promote your own groups, businesses, or personal causes unless agreed in advance.

We reserve the right to remove your post or block you from viewing our pages if you blatantly disregard the house rules.

Science Centre Easter Competition rules

To celebrate Easter 2026, SSEN Transmission is running a free competition on social media, offering tickets to local science centres. Please read the terms and conditions below before entering.

By taking part in this competition, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Organiser

This promotion is organised by SSEN Transmission.

Eligibility

The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over, excluding employees of SSE (including subsidiaries) and their immediate families.

How to Enter

To enter, participants must respond to the competition question posted on SSEN Transmission’s official social media accounts (Instagram) before the stated closing date and time of Monday, 13th April, 2026 at 23.59.

Only one entry per person will be counted, regardless of how many platforms the question is answered on.

Prize Details

Five (5) winners will each receive four (4) individual tickets, valid for use by adults and/or children, to either:

  • Aberdeen Science Centre, or
  • Dundee Science Centre

(the choice of venue to be made by the winner).

The prize is non‑transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered.

Winner Selection and Notification

The five closest correct entries will be selected as winners.
In the event of multiple equally correct entries, winners will be selected at random using a generator from those entries.

Winners will be contacted via direct message from SSEN Transmission’s official social media account within 7 days of the competition closing.

If a winner does not respond within 5 days, SSEN Transmission reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Delivery of Prize

Tickets will be issued in line with the relevant science centre’s standard ticketing arrangements.

SSEN Transmission is not responsible for any issues arising from venue availability, ticket redemption, or visit booking requirements.

Use of Personal Data

Any personal information provided (such as contact details required to issue tickets) will be used solely for the purposes of administering this competition and in accordance with SSEN Transmission’s Privacy Notice.

General Terms

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these competition rules.

SSEN Transmission reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these terms at any time without prior notice.

SSEN Transmission reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, inappropriate, irrelevant, or suspected of cheating.
