SSEN Transmission holds a range of accessible in-person and virtual events throughout the year to engage with stakeholders, customers and communities on our proposals, projects and policies.

As a stakeholder-led organisation, our stakeholders are encouraged to participate in engagement events as your feedback informs our decision-making and enriches the important work we have to do along our pathway to net zero.

  • Alyth Substation Extension Pre-Application (PAC) Consultation Event

    We’re inviting the local community and all interested parties to come along and find out more about our proposals to extend Alyth substation to allow for the installation of new equipment to help manage voltage levels across the transmission network. The event is an opportunity to speak with the project team, explore the proposals in more detail and share your feedback with us.

  • Transmission Training Centre PAC2 consultation event

    We are pleased to be hosting a second pre-application consultation event for our proposed development of a new purpose-built training facility, known as the SSEN Transmission Training Centre, located at the (Aberdeen & Northern Marts ANM) Thainstone Business Park.

    Afternoon session: 2pm to 4pm. As part of the Greens 400kV Substation project, SSEN Transmission and its partners are committed to creating lasting benefits for communities in and around the Green’s substation. We are inviting community representatives to join us for a conversation about local priorities, opportunities and ambitions. We want to listen to your views, understand local needs, and explore how we can work together to deliver meaningful benefits for the area.
