Publication of final Report on Consultation for Beauly-Blackhillock-New Deer-Peterhead 400kV overhead line project
The final Report on Consultation for a proposed new 400kV overhead line running from Beauly via Blackhillock and New Deer and on to Peterhead has been published. The transmission line would include four new substations along its route, and new HVDC converter stations at either end.

SSEN Transmission confirms change to substation plans for the Beauly to Peterhead 400kV overhead line project
SSEN Transmission has today announced it is no longer proceeding with Coachford substation to the south of Keith, part of the Beauly-Peterhead 400kV project. The decision follows extensive site surveys, including ground condition investigations, which have identified engineering and construction challenges with the previously proposed substation site.
