  SSEN Transmission has welcomed the decisions of Highland Council’s South Planning Committee this week to grant consent for three replacement substations at Deanie and Culligran in Glen Strathfarrar, and at Kilmorack.

• Harris community shines brightly after SSEN Transmission team helps deliver Christmas tree

  A Harris community is shining a little more brightly this week, after a team from SSEN Transmission answered a call for help to deliver and plant a Christmas tree in Tarbert.  The team – from the Harris to Stornoway 132kV overhead line project – helped the North Harris Trust deliver and plant the tree in the village.

• Netherton Hub 400kV Overhead Line Connection to New Deer and Peterhead - Tie-in Connection

  We are holding our final consultation event for our proposed overhead line tie-in connection of the existing New Deer-Peterhead 400kV line into Netherton Hub. The tie-in project is required to connect the proposed 400kV AC substation within the Hub to the existing transmission network. This event concludes the pre-application process for the consent application for the tie-in that will be submitted under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989.
