To help shape our approach to developing our next Business Plan, we will be holding an in-person stakeholder engagement event on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 in Glasgow.
Scotland’s transmission network has a strategic role to play in supporting delivery of the UK and Scotland’s Net Zero targets. As the Transmission Operator for the north of Scotland, we are working to deliver a Network for Net Zero.
To achieve this, we are now planning the work required in the second half of the decade. These future investments will play a vital role in helping ensure our future energy security by using affordable, home-grown, low carbon electricity, while providing significant economic and employment opportunities across the north of Scotland.
These plans will form part of our next Business Plan and will require approval by the GB energy regulator, Ofgem, who determines how much revenue we are allowed to earn for constructing, maintaining and renovating our transmission network in the north of Scotland.
We will be updating stakeholders on our progress so far and discussing our key areas of focus. We aim to gather stakeholder feedback to establish if we have identified the right areas of focus and commitment.
The areas of focus are Net Zero, Network Security, and Economic, Social and Environmental Legacy. Each of the three topics will be followed by an intimate round table discussion, where attendees are encouraged to continue the conversation with our subject matter experts and share their views.
This event is now fully booked. Interested stakeholders can register for updates on our T3 Business Plan on our dedicated T3 Business Plan web page.
Event timings: 9am registration, 9.30am start and 3pm close.
