SSEN Transmission has today started the process of notifying key stakeholders of its intention to submit its Section 37 overhead line consent application by 3 October for the proposed 400kV overhead line project between Beauly in the Highlands and Peterhead in Aberdeenshire.

SSEN Transmission has submitted a marine licence application to the Marine Directorate – Licensing Operations Team (MD-LOT) for the Scottish marine elements of the Eastern Green Link 3 (EGL3) project, a joint venture with National Grid Electricity Transmission which will be one of the biggest electricity transmission projects in the UK.
