Banniskirk Hub (Spittal area 400kV substation): Halkirk Event

Halkirk

We are pleased to be hosting a second public Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) event on our proposed Banniskirk Hub, consisting of a 400kV substation and HVDC converter station, following our initial events in March 2024 and feedback period which closed on 21 April 2024.

We are holding this event to present our proposed design for planning submission, following feedback received from the first PAC event and ongoing design developments. We will also present our responses to feedback received as part of the statutory consultation, which is required for major and national planning applications.

During our face-to-face drop-in events you will be able to view our proposals and submit questions and comments to the project team. You can also submit comments and feedback by emailing or writing to your Community Liaison Manager.

During the event we will also share our potential alignment options for the overhead line regarding our Spittal – Loch Buidhe – Beauly 400kV overhead line project.

The event will be held on:

Date: 3 June 2024
Time: 2pm-7pm
Venue: Ross Institute, Halkirk, KW12 6XZ

If you are unable to attend the public event all the material that will be on display will be available to be downloaded here from Monday 20 May.

Please let us know if you require information in an adapted format such as paper copy, large print or braille and we will work with you to accommodate your preferences. We are happy to accommodate all reasonable requests for adapted communications.
